GC men’s basketball inks Richardson

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (GC ATHLETICS RELEASE) – The Georgia College men’s basketball program and head coach Mark Gainous recently announced the signing of Pierre Richardson.

“Pierre is a great fit at Georgia College,” said Gainous. “He exemplifies what a student-athlete should be. Pierre will add depth at the point guard position and I am looking forward to working with him.”

Pierre, a 6-foot point guard, comes to Georgia College from Collins High in Suwanee, Ga., where he played under head coach Eric Nathan. Richardson averaged 13 points, four rebounds, and four assists per game for the Eagles this season.

Pierre was named All-Gwinnett County and helped lead the Eagles to a 15-12 record for a third place finish in Region 7AAAAAA.

The Bobcats will kick their season off with an exhibition at Georgia State University Nov. 3 and open regular season play Nov. 15 against Emmanuel College in Greenwood, S.C. at the Lander Classic.
