GC Bobcat baseball stays in nation’s top 20
In the College Baseball Lineup (CBL) poll, the Bobcats fell just one spot to the No. 9 position. Lander continues at No. 2 as well as USC Aiken at No. 6, UNCP at No. 15 and Columbus State at No. 21.
GC baseball finishes out the top-10 on D2BaseballNews.com (D2BBN). There are still five other teams representing the Peach Belt (PBC) in the poll, as the Bobcats take the second highest position for the conference just behind No. 2 Lander.
In the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper (CBN) rankings, the Bobcats slipped to No. 12. The lone PBC school ahead of the Bobcats is Lander University at the No. 3 position. Columbus State University has moved up to No. 16, USC Aiken is one slot behind and UNC Pembroke rounds out the 30-team poll.
After another week of play, the Bobcats dropped to No. 17 for the National Collegiate Baseball Writers’ Association (NCBWA). They come in behind No. 2 Lander and No. 14 Columbus State.
The Bobcats are on the road Friday, April 11 at 7 p.m., taking on Lander in a ranked battle.
