Fugitive caught at Middle Georgia State University in Cochran
The 22-year-old man, identified as Orane Foster was a student at the school, according to the supervisor of the Southest Regional Fugitive Task Force, John Edgar.
Foster is charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a 13-year-old.
He was wanted out of Illinois. Foster was living in with a woman in Kane County. The victim was the woman’s child, said Edgar.
“The U.S. Marshall’s task force in Illinois began their fugitive investigation last week,” explained Edgar. “They learned through their investigation that Foster had traveled down to Georgia to an unknown location. They reached out to the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and requested our assistance in locating Foster.”
The task force learned that Foster was attending the college, he added.
They along with Bleckley Sheriff’s Office deputies and Middle Georgia State University Police Department apprehended Foster.
