FPD football players help paint Macon home

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures were around 100 degrees Wednesday, but that wasn’t hot enough to stop a few kids from giving back.

The FPD football team partnered with Rebuilding Macon to add a fresh coat of paint to a Macon home. This is the sixth year the Vikings have participated.

“It’s a big deal for us,” rising sophomore John Lester says. “We have a lot of community service days planned. We like to come out here and help people that couldn’t do it otherwise.”

Rebuilding Macon helps low income elderly and disabled homeowners year-round.
