Former Bulldog, Demon dies at 56

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A former University of Georgia football player who played for Warner Robins in high school died Tuesday following complications from surgery.

56-year-old Jimmy Womack was a four-year letterman for the Bulldogs from 1977-80, according to a UGA release. During his career, he played in 41 games, rushing for 1,031 yards and four touchdowns on 246 carries. He also caught 11 passes for 150 yards.

He started all 12 games during the Bulldog’s undefeated national championship season in 1980.
