MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A new Five Guys restaurant with a drive-thru is being proposed for 4951 Riverside Drive in Macon, a property that received approval earlier this year for a Raising Cane’s restaurant that has not been built.

41NBC has reached out to Kimley-Horn, the applicant for the Raising Cane’s project, for an update on those plans.

According to an application filed with the Macon-Bibb County Planning and Zoning Commission, which appears on the December 8 draft agenda, applicant Marc Snyder of Five Guys Properties LLC is seeking conditional-use approval to allow a restaurant with a drive-thru at the C-2-zoned site.

Plans show a building at the corner of Riverside Drive and Gateway Drive. The property is across from The Shoppes at River Crossing.

The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the MBPZ Conference Room at the Macon Mall, lower level, 3661 Eisenhower Parkway, Suite MB104.

According to the commission, draft agendas are subject to change until the final version is posted.

Five Guys has 65 locations in Georgia, including one in Macon on Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. and one in Warner Robins on Margie Drive.
