Coroner: Autopsy results pending after man found dead in Hancock County woods

HANCOCK COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — An elderly man was found dead in a wooded area in Hancock County on Saturday, July 11, according to Hancock County Coroner Dontrelle Andrews.

Andrews identified the man as 71-year-old George Burston. He did not provide the exact location where he was found. Andrews did say an autopsy was conducted last week, and the results are pending.

He referred 41NBC to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for additional information. 41NBC has reached out to the GBI.
