Sheriff: No remains found in Warner Robins backyard search for Dustin Wallace, $15K reward offered
Investigators searched a Collins Avenue property after receiving a tip. A $15,000 reward is available for information about Wallace’s disappearance.
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Investigators searching for Dustin Wallace found no human remains or evidence of a burial in a Warner Robins backyard, according to a news release issued Wednesday from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.
The search began Monday at a home in the 1100 block of Collins Avenue. Wallace has been missing since 2021.
Sheriff Matt Moulton said investigators received information about two weeks ago indicating Wallace’s body might have been buried beneath a storage shed at the property.
The sheriff didn’t say who gave them that information, but he did say investigators worked to corroborate that information and brought in canine teams trained to locate human remains. The teams showed interest in and around the shed, according to the release.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for the property based on the information and the canine teams’ response.
With assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Houston County investigators excavated areas of the backyard surrounding the shed. The search uncovered no remains and no evidence that a body had been buried in the area searched.
Moulton also thanked the Houston County Public Works Department for its assistance and resources.
“We will continue to search for Dustin Wallace and pursue any credible information that may help us determine what happened to him,” Moulton said.
Missing since 2021
Dustin Randy Wallace was reported missing September 3, 2021. He was last seen on or about August 3, 2021, near General Courtney Hodges Boulevard in Perry.
In a December 2025 interview with 41NBC, his mother, Connie Wallace, said the last location shown by his phone was on Feagin Mill Road. She expressed frustration over the lack of answers and said she wanted investigators to use cadaver dogs to help find her son.
“Why? I need answers,” she said at the time.
In Wednesday’s release, Moulton acknowledged the family’s wait.
“Dustin Wallace’s family remains in our thoughts and prayers,” he said. “We recognize the uncertainty they have endured since his disappearance, and we remain committed to seeking answers.”
$15,000 reward offered
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office and Houston County District Attorney’s Office are offering a $15,000 reward for information regarding Wallace’s disappearance.
Wallace is described as about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes and multiple tattoos.
