Dublin man arrested for drugs in Wheeler County

ALAMO, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Dublin man is behind bars after a traffic stop turned into a drug bust in Wheeler County.

Wheeler County Sheriff Maurice Johnson says deputies arrested Willie Handsome after they found more than a pound of marijuana in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

It happened last Wednesday on State Routes 126 and 19.

Handsome also had more than $3,000 in cash in the car. He’s in custody at the Wheeler County jail. He’s charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and a moving violation.
