DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Dublin High School resumed its regular schedule Thursday after a phone threat led to a soft lockdown and a search of the campus, according to Dublin City Schools.

The school system says Dublin police notified district officials Thursday morning about a phone threat concerning the high school.

Officials placed Dublin High School and the district’s Board Office on soft lockdown.

Dublin police, Dublin firefighters, Georgia State Patrol, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office and Laurens County EMS responded with District Safety Director Tim Chatman.

The agencies searched the inside and outside of the campus. Students and staff returned to their regular schedules after authorities cleared the school.

The district says a light police presence will remain at all campuses for the rest of the day.

Dublin police are investigating the threat. The district did not release information about what was said during the call or identify a possible suspect.
