DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Shepeard Community Blood Center will be holding a ribbon cutting and celebrating its grand opening on Thursday July 22 at 11:00 a.m. at 122 S. Jefferson Street in downtown Dublin.

The center in Dublin opened its doors initially on July 6, and has worked to make it where residents of the area are able to donate blood, platelet, and plasma in exchange for “points” that translate to dollar amounts. Donors can earn anywhere from $20 to $50 per donation depending on what it is they give.

During the month of August, donors will also receive a limited edition T-shirt and be entered into a weekly drawing to win a $100 Visa gift card.
