Downtown Macon shooting early Saturday leaves two injured

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two men are recovering after being shot downtown early Saturday morning.

It  happened on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Cherry Street just before 2:30. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Dun Tae Juwuan Jackson of Macon was walking to a parking garage after leaving a night club when he was shot twice in the left leg and once in the left shoulder.

Witnesses say the shooter got away. Jackson was taken to the hospital.

Another man, Darien Askew from Perry, (also in his 20s) said he was walking and heard gun shots. He noticed he was struck by a stray bullet in his left arm. He drove himself to Houston Medical Center.

Jackson and Askew are both listed in stable condition.

The shooter is described as being short and was wearing all-black clothing.
