Sheriff: Stolen vehicle chase ends in woods after pursuit from Davisboro

Deputies say the suspects were arrested after the stolen vehicle crashed during a chase in Eatonton.

DAVISBORO, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Two men were arrested Tuesday after deputies say a stolen vehicle from Washington County was tracked to Eatonton.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle was reported stolen before noon from the Dollar General in Davisboro. Deputies used computer technology to track the vehicle to Eatonton.

Officers with the Eatonton Police Department located the vehicle, but the driver refused to stop, which led to a chase.

According to deputies, the chase ended when the vehicle crashed into a wooded area. The driver then ran from the scene but was quickly captured after a short foot chase.

35-year-old Trabian Pass and 30-year-old Randy Urrutia-Pena, both of Lawrenceville, are charged with theft of a motor vehicle.
