Crawford County girl ‘so excited and so humble’ to witness World Cup in person
Bailey DeWitt and her mother Susanna won tickets through a contest and attended a World Cup match in Atlanta.

ATLANTA (41NBC/WMGT) – Back in April, Crawford County’s Bailey DeWitt and her mother Susanna got the call of a lifetime, which ultimately led to two tickets to a World Cup match in Atlanta.
“I was just so excited and so humble that I get to go to one,” Bailey said. “I’m just so glad I’m here.”
Bailey’s mother, Susanna, entered them into a contest on her ‘My Verizon’ app, which led to the phone call from U.S. Women’s National Team player Gisele Thompson. On Monday morning, the wait was over, as Bailey and Susanna traveled to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the World Cup match between Spain and Cape Verde.
“She has a front row seat to the best players in the world,” Susanna said. “It’s really exciting to see what this opportunity has brought to her.”
Right before halftime, Bailey and Susanna got a chance to go down to the field as their faces appeared on the jumbotron in the stadium.
“It was just very exciting and I wish I could do it again,” Bailey said after the game. It was a day she and her mother will never forget.
