UPDATE: Crash in Baldwin County Monday leaves man dead

UPDATE: GSP troopers have investigated and found that the crash happened at about 10:40 in the morning. It’s said that the first vehicle was a 2004 Cadillac Deville that was driven by Forrest Haynes, a 55 year-old woman from Milledgeville, who was travelling east on State Route 22. The second vehicle was a 1999 Chevrolet GMT 400 C3500, driven by Tony Adams, a 50 year-old man who was also from Milledgeville and travelling west.

The description of the incident states that Haynes crossed into Adams’ lane and her car struck his in the rear driver’s side with her front bumper. After impact, Adams’ vehicle rotated and flipped multiple times.

Adams was ejected and pronounced deceased on the scene. Haynes was transported to Navicent Macon.

The GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is conducting a follow-up investigation and charges are pending.

 


MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) has reported a fatal crash that took place in Baldwin County early on Monday, July 26, 2021.

GSP said that the crash took place on 393 Sparta Highway and Cicada Drive. The incident was called in as a 2-vehicle crash that resulted in an overturned vehicle and ejection with a confirmed fatality.

A representative from the Department of Public Safety (DPS) says that troopers are still investigating the crash at this time.
