Cochran Motor Speedway ready for Memorial Day Race

COCHRAN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Drivers from all over the south will hit the high banks of Cochran Motor Speedway this weekend for the Memorial Day Shootout.

The track, located at 241 Joe Wimberly Road, is taking a break from its Saturday night racing schedule for a Sunday night event.

$2,000 will go to the winner in the Late Model division. $1,000 goes to the winner in Sportsman, Super Street, Pure Stock and Bomber.

The All-Star Pure Stock division will pay $1,500 to the winner.

Pits open at 2 p.m. Grandstands open at 4. Racing begins at 6.
