Chipper Jones to give command at Atlanta NASCAR race
The Braves Hall of Famer will serve as grand marshal for the July 12 Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway.

HAMPTON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Atlanta Braves legend Chipper Jones will serve as grand marshal for the Quaker State 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at EchoPark Speedway on July 12.
EchoPark Speedway announced Wednesday at Truist Park that Jones will give the command for drivers to start their engines before Atlanta’s Night Race.
Jones is a 1995 World Series champion, former National League MVP, batting title champion and member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
“As a fan of NASCAR and the exciting racing EchoPark Speedway consistently offers, I can’t wait to kick off Atlanta’s Night Race,” Jones said.

The Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart is scheduled for Sunday night, July 12, at EchoPark Speedway in Hampton.
The race weekend will also include the Focused Health 250 on Saturday night, July 11, featuring the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
EchoPark Speedway says the weekend will also include NASCAR’s $1 million In-Season Tournament, with eight drivers competing head-to-head in a bracket-style elimination format.
