Child hospitalized after being left in vehicle in Milledgeville

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A child is in the hospital after being left in a vehicle Monday afternoon in Milledgeville.

According to a news release, officers responded to 2400 Brantley Way in reference to a 6-month-old infant who had been left in a vehicle outside the home. According to the 41NBC weather radar, temperatures in Milledgeville reached 91 degrees around that time.

Police say the infant was taken to the Oconee Regional Medical Center and then transferred to Navicent Health in Macon. The baby is currently in the hospital in stable condition. The case is under investigation.
