HOUSTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Warner Robins man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking methamphetamine and firearm charges.

According to the Houston County District Attorney’s Office, 37-year-old Casey Lamar Washington pleaded guilty Wednesday in Houston County Superior Court.

Prosecutors say he was sentenced to a total of 30 years, with the first 15 years to be served in prison. He was also ordered to pay a $300,000 fine.

According to investigators, the Warner Robins Police Department Narcotics Intelligence Unit began investigating Washington in July 2024 after receiving information he was selling drugs from a home on Meadowdale Drive.

Investigators say they conducted several controlled drug purchases before executing a search warrant at the home on August 15, 2024.

Officers reported finding more than a pound of methamphetamine, more than two pounds of marijuana, nearly 40 hydrocodone pills and a rifle inside the home. They say Washington admitted the drugs and firearm belonged to him after his arrest.

“This case involved trafficking-level quantities of illegal narcotics being distributed from within a residential neighborhood in our community,” District Attorney Eric Edwards said. “The amount of methamphetamine recovered, combined with the presence of additional controlled substances and a firearm possessed by a convicted felon, presented a serious threat to public safety.”
