Brooks Keisler announces candidacy for State Senate

BONAIRE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Bonaire man is hoping to become the next state senator of District 20.

Brooks Keisler announced his candidacy Wednesady. He was born and raised in Warner Robins. He currently lives in Bonaire with his wife and three children.

Keisler is the Executive Vice President of National Partnerships for LTS Education Systems.

“Through our educators, business leaders, pastors, and my family, the middle Georgia community has helped mold the values and beliefs that I hold dear,” Keisler said in a statement. “My desire is to use those values and believes as a guide to represent the people of District 20.”

State Senator Ross Tolleson announced his retiring on November 1st. He has represented District 20 since 2003. Tolleson says he has been diagnosed with early stages of Alzheimers’ disease and will devote his attention to confronting that challenge and focusing on his family.

District 20 includes all of Bleckley, Laurens, and Pulaski Counties as well as Houston County.
