Bobcat women’s tennis finishes season No. 27 in the nation
The Bobcats jumped two spots to No. 27, just one spot off the highest mark for Georgia College in the national poll this season. The Bobcats were fourth among the seven Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools listed, behind No. 2 Armstrong Atlantic State University, No. 8 Columbus State University and No. 24 Francis Marion University. Flagler College was No. 32, Lander University No. 35 and USC Aiken No. 47.
GC Women’s Tennis also finished fourth in the region poll, behind those same four PBC squads. Freshman Macy Polk (Powder Springs, Ga.) continued her climb, taking No. 8 in the Southeast Region in singles action.
Another outstanding season has come to a close for GC Women’s Tennis, making the 20th straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament with a 19-8 mark. The Bobcats took fifth place in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament, and placed Macy Polk on the All-PBC Team.
