Bobcat softball remains second in region poll

INDIANAPOLIS (GC ATHLETICS) – The NCAA released the most recent region polls Wednesday, April 29, and the Georgia College softball team (44-9) stayed put in the second slot of the Southeast Region.

The Bobcats are only behind the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) champions University of North Georgia in the poll.

The top two teams in each region will host a region tournament the weekend of May 8-10. If the poll results remain intact, Georgia College will host GRU Augusta, Carson-Newman University and Armstrong State University in the second pool of the Southeast Region Tournament.

The NCAA Tournament selection show is Monday, May 4 where the region tournament sites and participants will be made official.
