Bobcat softball moves to No. 15 in nation

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (GC ATHLETICS) – The most recent National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll was released Wednesday, Feb. 25 and the Georgia College softball team (15-3) moved up four spots from last week, coming in at No. 15.

The Bobcats played four games this week, going 4-0 against Barry University and Nova Southeastern University. They are in the midst of a six-game win streak, the second streak of that length this season.

One other Peach Belt Conference (PBC) school is ranked in the top-25, as the University of North Georgia comes in at No. 12. The Bobcats will take on the Nighthawks at home April 7. Georgia College is tied with No. 5 St. Mary’s (Texas) for the most wins (15) by a top-25 team.

Georgia College is back in action Friday, Feb. 27 as they travel to Duncan, S.C. for the Mid-South Classic. The ‘Cats will take on Queens University Friday at 6 p.m. followed by two games on Saturday against Brevard College and Catawba College.
