Bobcat softball continues to rise in national poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (GC ATHLETICS) – The most recent National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll was released Wednesday, March 25 and the Georgia College softball team (30-4, 7-1 PBC) has jumped two spots to No. 8 in the country.

Georgia College went 4-0 this week with sweeps of Peach Belt Conference (PBC) rival Columbus State University and Albany State University.

The Bobcats are tied for the most wins among any top-25 team and have a victory over current No. 1 Valdosta State University.

Georgia College jumped the only other PBC school in the rankings, as the University of North Georgia fell to No. 9.

The Bobcats are back in action Thursday, March 26 as they head to Savannah, Georgia for a PBC doubleheader with Armstrong State University. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
