BIbb County School Board cuts 18 positions
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County School Board has cut 18 positions. Eleven of those are certified employees, such as psychologists, counselors, and visiting teachers. Seven classified workers are also out of jobs. That includes hall monitors, a paraprofessional, and a school administrator manager.
In February, the Board of Education approved a Reduction-in-Force (RIF) plan for the 2015-2016 school year.
These positions were cut either because of grant funding was ending or school closings and consolidations.
