Beauty pageant raises money for charity with golf tournament

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A trio of beauty pageant winners helped raise money at a Macon golf course Friday.

The Miss Macon Organization held its fifth annual “Teeing Off for Children and Education Golf Tournament to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network and the Miss Macon Scholarship Fund.

Miss Georgia and Miss Macon were both there.

“It is very exciting, we had the pleasure of driving around, kind of meeting some of the people playing today. We were able to chit chat with them, give some interviews, so it’s just been a pleasure all day,” Miss Georgia, Alyssa Beasley said.

About 70 people played today to help raise the money for charity.
