Authorities investigating pedestrian fatality in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Authorities are investigating a pedestrian fatality that happened Thursday night.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones tells 41NBC the accident happened at the intersection of Montpelier and Holt Avenues.

63-year-old Bobby Wright was standing in the road when 26-year-old Spencer Carter hit him at about 10 p.m.

Carter is a Mercer University medical student.

Montpelier Avenue was blocked off for about two hours after the wreck.

No one was charged.
