Attorney General starts prescription drug awareness video contest
Students heard stories of people affected by loved ones who were addicted to drugs.
Olens said people aren’t aware of how much harm these drugs can cause.
“Parents historically pay attention to the liquor cabinet. They’re not paying attention to the medicine cabinet and one of the things we’re really trying to get the word out is that families need to pay as much, if not more, attention to the medicine cabinet,” said Olens.
The contest challenges Georgia High School students to create a video explaining why they’ve chosen to live a healthy lifestyle.
The contest ends October 31st and winners will receive an iPad.
