ATF agents and Houston County deputies arrest two men accused of selling stolen guns

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two men are in the Houston County Jail after they were accused of selling stolen guns.

Houston County sheriff’s investigators and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arrested 30-year-old Alexis Montell Davis and 31-year-old Alvin Robinson Jr. during a traffic stop Wednesday. Davis and Robinson were pulled over at the intersection of Watson Boulevard and Carl Vinson Parkway.

Authorities say they have recovered 17 guns during the investigation. No guns were found inside the car during the traffic stop.

Several of the guns agents and investigators did find are believed to have been stolen from the Middle Georgia area.

Robinson is charged with five counts of theft by receiving stolen property and simple battery. Davis is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and two counts of receiving stolen property.
