Arrest made in Macon gas station shooting
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A person of interested wanted in connection to a Macon gas station shooting, is now in the Bibb County Jail without bond.
Deputies arrested 39-year-old Alvin Wendell Clowers Jr., of Macon. He’s wanted in connection to a May 1st shooting at Murphy’s U.S.A. located at 1402 Gray Hwy. Investigators said they were looking for a man who left the scene driving a maroon colored Lincoln Town car with a beige vinyl roof.
Once the person of interested was identified as Clowers, warrants were issued for his arrest.
Deputies located Clowers at a home in Eatonton with the help of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and the Eatonton Police Department.
Clowers is charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder.
