Annual WIC Farmer’s Market opens for summer

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The North Central Health District’s annual WIC Farmer’s Market kicks off tomorrow in Houston County.

According to a news release, this market will allow individuals on WIC to receive up to $30 of free fruits and vegetables.

The district plans to rotate the market in 13 counties throughout the summer.

Families and individuals can find the market in several locations across the area:

  • Houston County Health Department

        – Address: 98 Cohen Walker Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088
        – When: June 24, 25, 26 at 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

  • Bibb County Health Department

        – Address: 171 Emery Hwy, Macon, GA 31217
        – When: July 1, 2, 3 at 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. 

  • Felton Homes WIC Office

        – Address: 150 Sessions Drive, Macon, GA 31201 
        – When: July 8, 9, 10 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. 

  • Baldwin County Health Department 

        – Address: 953 Barrows Ferry Road, Milledgeville, GA 31061
        – When: July 15, 16, 17 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. 

  • Washington County Health Department 

        – Address: 201 Morningside Drive, Sandersville, GA 31082
        – When: July 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
