Anchor Glass plant in Warner Robins to permanently close, affecting 168 workers
A public WARN notice filed with the state of Georgia lists the Anchor Glass closure as permanent.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Anchor Glass Container Corporation plans to permanently close its Warner Robins location, according to a public WARN notice filed with the state of Georgia.
The notice lists the company’s Warner Robins worksite at 1044 Booth Road.
According to the WARN notice, 168 employees work at the site, and all 168 are expected to be affected by the closure.
The first date of separation is listed as October 17, 2026.
The notice identifies the closure as permanent.
The Development Authority of Houston County acknowledged the closure in a Facebook post Tuesday and said it is focused on connecting displaced workers with resources, training opportunities, career pathways and employers.
“We are committed to supporting our workforce through this transition and helping individuals find their next opportunity right here in Houston County and Middle Georgia,” the authority said.
The authority thanked Anchor Glass and its employees for their contributions to the community and said it plans to work with workforce and community partners to support affected employees.
According to the company’s website, Anchor Glass operates five glass manufacturing facilities in the United States. Those include the plant in Warner Robins, plus facilities in Henryetta, Oklahoma; Lawrenceburg, Indiana; Elmira, New York; and Shakopee, Minnesota.
41NBC reached out to Anchor Glass corporate for comment and additional information about the closure but has not received a response.
