Man charged in accident with injuries in west Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s investigators charged 20-year-old Jonathan Edward Canipe of Macon in an accident that happened on April 10th.

Authorities took Canipe into custody and charged him with the following:

• Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by Person Under 21
• Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device
• Possession of Alcohol by Person Under 21
• Driving Without a Valid License

Authorities say Canipe was released on a bond of $3,410.00 on April 11, 2019.

Due to the extent of Felicia Yvette Stribling’s injuries, authorities issued a warrant to Canipe for the charge of Serious Injury by Motor Vehicle.

Authorities say that Canipe turned himself into deputies on April 15th. Canipe is being held on a $33,200.00 bond.

Medical Center Navicent Health is treating Stribling’s injuries.
