Macon woman ran over by car, dies at hospital

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon woman was ran over by her own car Monday morning.

According to a news release, 92-year-old Dorothy Elder was attempting to park at the Riverside Animal Hospital on Riverside Drive in Macon, when she placed her car in reverse thinking it was in park.

When Elder exited the vehicle the car rolled back onto her.

Elder was taken to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the incident.
