Ready or not, here comes winter

A few showers, and a rumble of thunder or two are possible as we go through the rest of the afternoon and into the evening. The chances for rain will go up a bit after midnight tonight.  The rain will not be that heavy, for the most part, but some brief downpours are certainly possible.  There will be NO severe weather at all, so we don’t have to worry about that.  The rain/storms over the Northern Gulf of Mexico is actually inhibiting our rain chances today.

Temperatures overnight will cool back down into the down into the mid 50’s as we wake up for work and school for Friday morning.  The highs on Friday will be MUCH different as we will see a nice cold front that will blast through the weekend.  Highs tomorrow will be back down into the mid 60’s.  The cooling trend will continue for much of the Southeast.  Temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will be quite a bit below normal.  Highs will be in the upper 50’s for Saturday and near 60 degrees or so for Sunday.  There will be some frost and freeze threats for Saturday and Sunday mornings.  We should be in the mid 30’s for Saturday morning and low 30’s for Sunday.  See the maps for my forecast for everyone.

Looking ahead, I don’t see anything really that impressive right now. Nothing Severe and or Super cold after the weekend.  70’s for highs next week.  Enjoy!
