Macon Mayhem host Birmingham Bulls in Saturday home opener
Macon opened the season with a loss at Athens and a win at Pensacola before returning home to face the Birmingham Bulls.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Macon Mayhem are preparing for their home opener Saturday at the Macon Coliseum after splitting their first two games of the season on the road.
The Mayhem opened the season with a 2-0 loss at Athens on Friday before bouncing back with a 4-2 win at Pensacola on Saturday.
Coming off their first playoff appearance in five years, the Mayhem believe this year’s roster is even stronger. Coach Dave Pszenyczny said the team has already found its stride and identity just two games into the season and expressed excitement about the growth of both the roster and the organization as a whole.
Defenseman Michael Krupinski said the playoff run last season gave the team a foundation to build on heading into the new year.
“Well, I wanna build off of the first time we’ve made the playoffs in the last few years,” he said. “I think that was a good step, a good cornerstone. I think we can really make some good damage this year in the league.”
The Macon Mayhem’s first home game of the season is Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Macon Coliseum against the Birmingham Bulls.
