Four Bibb County deputies face federal corruption charges

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Four Bibb County deputies are facing federal charges for corruption.

United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia, Micheal Moore announced that Jimmy Denson, Arthur Howard,
and Decarlo Latimore are all charged with attempted extortion. Jermaine Hill is charged with theft of government money and making fasle statements.

Hill was arrested in court on July 10, after he plead guilty.

Denson, Howard and Latimore were arrested Friday, they appeared before a federal magistrate judge following their arrest.

“What they were doing was they would initiate some type of traffic stop for example and then rob the person there,” said Moore. “So, we set up an undercover operation and we were able to get their activity on video and audio.”

Bibb county sheriff’s deputy Hill is facing sentencing at a later date. Deputies Denson, Howard, and Latimore have been indicted by a grand jury.
