MACON, Ga. (MERCER RELEASE) – After leading Mercer men’s basketball to a 2-0 week with wins against Alcorn State and Ole Miss, senior guard Langston Hall was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday morning.

Hall averaged 15.0 points per game while racking up 14 assists, nine rebounds and two steals on the week. In Mercer’s road 79-76 road win at Ole Miss, Hall drained the game-winning three pointer with 0.6 seconds on the clock to lift the Bears to their third-straight win against SEC competition.

Hall finished with 17 points, six assists and four rebounds in 37 minutes against the Rebels. On Monday night, Hall netted 13 points with eight assists, five rebounds and two steals in a 70-44 rout of Alcorn State.

Hall is now just two assists shy of the 500 mark for his career and 16 points away from his 1,250th point. The win at Ole Miss was the sixth-high major win that Hall’s been a part of since arriving at Mercer in the fall of 2010.

The Bears conclude the non-conference portion of their schedule hosting St. Andrews on December 27. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
