GC Volleyball Hosts “White-Out to Wipe Out Cancer” Saturday

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (GCSU RELEASE) – The Georgia College volleyball team will host a “White-Out to Wipe Out Cancer” day at their final home match of the season Saturday, Nov. 16 against Paine College, featuring a number of fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society.

To start the day, there will be a 3-on-3 Tournament at 11 a.m. on the west court at the top level of the Centennial Center. The entry fee is $15 per team, with the winning team being awarded more than $50 worth of gift cards from various local stores and restaurants, The winning team will also be awarded “The Best Seat in the House”, a couch on floor level, and a free pizza lunch during the match later that day. The online registration form for the tournament is available at http://gcbobcats.com/vbtourney , but walk-up registration will also be available.

All fans are encouraged to wear white to the match in support of the fight against cancer, with Bobcat Fan Rewards members earning double points for doing so. Long-sleeved GC volleyball shirts will be for sale for $20 and paper volleyballs will also be sold for $1. These will be hung at the entrance of the Centennial Center. Individual pledges per kill will also be accepted during the match.

At the conclusion of the match, fans are welcome to meet the players of the Bobcat volleyball team, getting autographs and taking pictures.

All proceeds for this event will go to the American Cancer Society.
