Bobcat Soccer Starts PBC Tournament at No. 3-seed Armstrong

AUGUSTA, Ga. (GCSU RELEASE) – The Georgia College soccer team (8-7-2) will start the road to the school’s first Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament title at No. 3-seed Armstrong Atlantic State University (11-3-3) Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m.

The match will be the first of a full four-game slate of PBC tourney action Tuesday, with all four matches hosted by the matchups’ higher seed.

The Bobcats already own a win over the Pirates this season, a thrilling 3-2 victory in overtime at Bobcat Field Oct. 19.

Georgia College is in search of the team’s first PBC Tournament Title, having only advanced as far as the semi-final round in program history. Last season, the Bobcats lost at Columbus State University 3-0 in the quarterfinals.

The rest of the opening round features No. 1-seed Clayton State University hosting No. 8-seed University of Montevallo at 7 p.m., No. 2-seed Columbus State battling No. 7-UNC Pembroke at 7 p.m., and No. 4-seed Lander University hosting No. 5-seed University of North Georgia at 4:30 p.m.
