Ham Named Bobcat Athlete of the Week

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (GCSU RELEASE) – Freshman Caroline Ham (Marietta, Ga.) of the Georgia College volleyball team was named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for her performance during the week ending Nov. 3. This is the first time for Ham to receive such an honor.

The freshman led the charge defensively for the Bobcats, posting 6.33 digs per set over two matches this week. Ham recorded 20 digs in the loss at USC Aiken Wednesday, her ninth 20-plus dig effort of the year. She also put down two kills to help the offense. At Lander University Saturday, Ham added 18 bumps. She ranks fifth in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) in total digs (401) and seventh in digs per set (4.36) this season.

The Bobcats’ next match will be a home bout in the Centennial Center against Francis Marion University (17-5, 9-4 PBC), Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
