Mercer’s Reimers Named A-Sun Golfer of the Week

MACON, Ga. (MERCER RELEASE) – Mercer senior Hans Reimers was named the Atlantic Sun Golfer of the Week on Wednesday after leading the men’s golf team to a third place finish at the Eagle/Osprey Intercollegiate.

The honor marked the second conference weekly honor of his career and came on the heels of a final round four-under-par 68 at the event. His three-round score of 217 placed him in a tie for fourth place among the 85-player field.

Reimers finished the fall with two top-five placements and a team-leading 70.9 scoring average. He collected sub-par scores in eight of his 15 rounds this fall and now has nine career top-10 finishes to his credit.

Mercer now ranks No. 38 in Golfstat’s NCAA Division I relative rankings after taking sixth or better finishes in all five fall events. The Bears return to competitive play in February at Florida’s Gator Invitational.
