3 Middle Georgians Inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Georgia Radio Hall of Fame welcomed four people with ties to Middle Georgia.

Palmira “Honey Bee” Braswell in the Legacy category. She was Macon’s first black woman radio announcer at WBML in the 1950’s.

Also inducted in the hall of fame’s career achievement category were “Jolly” Charlie Hill, who was known as “the voice of Hawkinsville”, Perry native, Kelly McCoy, who has spent most of his career on radio in Atlanta, and Mike Roberts, the owner of Middle Georgia radio station WQMJ, Majic 100.1 FM.
