MTA returning to full capacity next week, will celebrate with two ‘Free Fare Days’
MTA will provide two days of free fares for all riders.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb Transit Authority will return to full capacity on its fixed route buses next week, and it’s celebrating by offering two “Free Fare Days.”
A MTA news release sent Monday says MTA will provide free fares on Monday and Tuesday, June 14 and 15.
There was previously a limit of 15 passengers per fixed route bus, but that policy is no longer in effect because “more and more Americans are vaccinated and COVID-19 restrictions are lifting.”
As required by federal transit policy, masks must still be worn inside the Transfer Station and inside all MTA buses.
