Gordon PD: Man Steals Thousands of Dollars Worth of Mining Equipment, Sells on Ebay
GORDON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Gordon man was arrested for stealing $300,000 worth of equipment from BASF chalk mines.
The Gordon Police Department say 37-year-old Jason Daniel Booth worked at the mines and stole automated parts to run an assembly line. Police say he then sold the equipment on EBay.
Booth was charged with theft by taking and booked in the Wilkinson County jail. He’s been released on bond.
Officers are still investigating the case.
