Several events are giving people opportunities to explore local businesses, celebrate the upcoming holiday season and enjoy time with friends and family.

Macon Burger Week

Burger lovers have a reason to celebrate. Macon Burger Week is back and kicked off on October 30th and it runs through the 8th.

During the event, local restaurants will serve creative burgers made specifically for the occasion. From towering classics to bold, over-the-top creations, diners will have the opportunity to explore different flavors while supporting Macon’s local restaurant scene.

Whether you’re a longtime foodie or simply enjoy a good burger, organizers encourage people to gather their friends, plan their stops and see how many signature burgers they can try throughout the week.

Christmas Made in the South

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Macon Centreplex as the 33rd annual Christmas Made in the South returns November 6 through November 8.

The nationally recognized arts and crafts event gives shoppers an opportunity to find unique gifts ahead of the holiday season. Vendors and artisans will showcase handmade creations, including clothing, jewelry, accessories, photography and other one-of-a-kind items.

Guests can also enjoy live demonstrations, entertainment and gourmet food. Santa will also make an appearance for those looking to get into the holiday spirit.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day at the Macon Centreplex, located at 200 Coliseum Drive in Macon.
