Partly cloudy skies and above average temperatures expected Thursday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Cloud cover will be ramping up as the work week winds down with temperatures and humidity climbing.
This Evening
Several of the clouds around Middle Georgia this afternoon will clear out this evening into tonight. Expect a more seasonal night with low temperatures likely to be at or above average for most of the region (upper 40s/lower 50s). The wind will remain out of the northeast at 5-10 mph.
Tomorrow
Temperatures should climb a couple degrees Thursday afternoon as highs reach the upper 70s and lower 80s around Middle Georgia. The wind will be breezy at times from the northeast with gusts likely ranging 14-18 mph. Sustained speeds should range around 5-11 mph. Expect a mix of high and mid level clouds overhead through the afternoon.
Again a good bit of the afternoon/evening cloud cover will clear out through the first parts of the overnight hours. Conditions should warm further with overnight lows likely in the low to mid 50s leading into Friday morning. A bit of patchy fog may be possible during the sunrise hours on Friday, however the wind will remain out of the northeast around 5 mph.
Friday and Beyond
A mostly cloudy but warm end to the week is likely with peak high temperatures for Middle Georgia expected Friday afternoon. The humidity will climb into Halloweekend with a couple of showers possible by Saturday evening. As of now however the main rain for the weekend should hold off until after midnight Saturday night with heavier activity likely during the day on Sunday. Don’t forget as well that Halloween is an extra hour longer this year thanks to the time change!
