Teen arrested in Napier Avenue shooting that left 15-year-old critically injured

According to medical staff, the teen remains in critical condition.

UPDATE (9/10/2026 at 10:02 a.m.) The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 17-year-old in connection with a shooting on Napier Avenue that left a 15-year-old boy critically injured.

Deputies identified 17-year-old Tishon Deltavious Lowe as the suspect during the investigation. Lowe was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division before being taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Lowe is charged with aggravated assault and is being held without bond.

The shooting happened just before 6 p.m. Wednesday at a residence in the 2700 block of Napier Avenue.

Deputies responding to a report of a person shot found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics took him to a local medical facility for treatment.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after a shooting Wednesday evening on Napier Avenue.

According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home in the 2700 block of Napier Avenue just before 6 p.m. after the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center received a report of someone being shot.

Deputies found the teenager with a gunshot wound. Paramedics took him to a hospital for treatment.

The sheriff’s office says no one else was injured.

Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting. The sheriff’s office did not release information about a suspect or any arrests.
