Macon Restaurant Week returns with dishes from 20 downtown restaurants
The event runs September 11-20, with diners eligible for merchandise, a magazine subscription and a chance to win a $250 gift card.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Macon Restaurant Week returns for its second year September 11 through September 20, with 20 downtown restaurants offering special menu items.
According to a news release from NewTown Macon, each participating restaurant will offer a Signature dish and a Special. Organizers describe Signature dishes as premium, chef-driven selections, while Specials provide more casual, budget-friendly options.
See photos of all the entries on NewTown Macon’s Facebook page.
“This year’s event gives our restaurants two ways to bring people through the door,” NewTown Macon marketing director Haley Purvis said. “Special dishes serve as a low-pressure way to try somewhere new, and Signature dishes are our chefs’ chance to really show off and turn a first-time visitor into a new regular.”
Restaurant Week passports and prizes
Passports will be available at participating downtown businesses throughout the event.
Diners who collect five stamps can receive a Macon Magazine merchandise item and a free one-year subscription. Participants must email a photo of their completed passport to hello@maconmagazine.com.
Completed passports will also be entered into a random drawing for a $250 gift card to a downtown Macon business of the winner’s choice.
“Every Downtown Macon restaurant has a story waiting to be tasted: a family recipe, a chef taking a risk, a space that has been repurposed,” Macon Magazine publisher and editor Susannah Maddux said. “Restaurant Week is a meaningful way to guide diners to those stories one plate at a time.”
