UPDATE: Washington State Prison officer terminated after arrest

24-year-old Alexis Lambry also faces charges of items prohibited for inmate possession.

UPDATE (8/10/26): Warrants provided to 41NBC by the Georgia Department of Corrections say Alexis Lambry engaged in sexual intercourse with a Washington State Prison inmate while working as a correctional officer.

According to the warrants, the contact happened between June 12 and June 18. Investigators said a forensic examination of the inmate’s contraband cellphone recovered a video, photos, text messages and other electronic communications documenting the relationship.

A separate warrant accuses Lambry of obtaining, procuring or giving an inmate a prohibited item between June 12 and June 13 but does not identify the item.

The Georgia Department of Corrections said Monday in response to a 41NBC inquiry from last week that a former Washington State Prison officer has been terminated following her arrest.

“As we continue to demonstrate, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for individuals who choose to ignore their oath and jeopardize our non-negotiable mission of public safety,” a spokesperson said in a statement. “The actions of this individual does not reflect the hundreds of officers who are committed each and every day to ensuring the safety of the public and the safe operations of our facilities.”

DAVISBORO, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Washington State Prison officer was arrested Friday on charges including improper sexual contact and violation of oath by a public officer.

24-year-old Alexis Lambry also faces a charge of items prohibited for inmate possession, according to state warrants provided to 41NBC by Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran.
